You are more precious than rubies...

Proverbs 3:15 ~ "She is more precious than rubies;  nothing you desire can compare with her."

Hello Friends! I have not blogged in awhile. I used to blog a lot more. I do miss it, but I have been busy trying to be creative in other areas as well. I will still blog from time to time. Blogging is still in my heart.

So much has been happening. It's amazing how God and Jesus will work in your life when you ASK and SEEK Him and His guidance. I have always wanted to encourage other women for Christ. Everyone has their good and bad days. Everyone falters back and forth with feeling positive and motivated. I know that I do all of the time, but we are human and that is part of life. It is part of growing. And that is okay.

I have met so many beautiful and wonderful women and friends through the blogging world, through Instagram and through the world of Planners. I feel such a special bond and connection with so many of these great and creative ladies. They are truly a blessing.

I try my best to seek God and wait on Him as much as possible. Sometimes, I rush ahead and fall face down out of feeling exhausted and rushed, but those are the times when I hear the sweet whisper of God and Jesus reminding me to "Be still...", know He is God and to make time with Him. Yes, MAKE time with Him. Always, always refresh yourself in God. He will heal where you hurt. He will direct where you are lost. He will strengthen where you are weak and He will fix where you are broken. Things will not be perfect, but you can learn how to perfect your thoughts by His Word and how He wants us to think, act and react to life and situations.

I always remind myself and others of that. Be still and know He is there, He is your God and He will help when you rest IN HIM. Make the time to hear His sweet voice.

I prayed that God would send me some really special girl friends that have the same interests as me when it came to arts, crafts, planners, snail mail (my pen pals), blogging and most important ~ Jesus and His Word, the Bible.  Little did I know that other women were praying the same prayer. He brought us together and what a blessing it is to be able to encourage one another, smile and laugh with each other, and share God's special Word TOGETHER.

God brought two of my favorite girls and I together (see photos below) and we call ourselves the ATP Girls =  Answer To Prayer Girl's. We try to encourage, bless and be there for each other. We vent, we laugh, we act silly, we have Starbucks coffee and we shop at Michael's for planner goodies together. Most important, we pray for each other and lift each other up in God ~ Jesus and His Word. So special.

Always try your best to surround yourself with God, Jesus, The Bible, people who will encourage you and lift you up, and people who allow you to shine and make your heart smile. Life is way too short to be sucked up by negative surroundings. Be sure to pay attention to that. Sometimes we are not aware of all that is negative around us (t.v., media, music, people, etc.)

Proverbs 3:15 ~ "She is more precious than rubies;  nothing you desire can compare with her."

YOU are truly more precious than rubies to God and Jesus. Treat and respect yourself as very special and precious. Shine for Him. Shine for you. Shine for others, let your light shine, so that they may know Him (Matthew 5:16) ....Just SHINE!

Proverbs 3 : 1~26

Do not forget my teaching, but keep my commands in your heart, for they will prolong your life many years and bring you peace and prosperity. Let love and faithfulness never leave you; bind them around your neck, write them on the tablet of your heart. Then you will win favor and a good name in the sight of God and man. Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to Him, and He will make your paths straight. Do not be wise in your own eyes;  fear the Lord and shun evil. This will bring health to your body and nourishment to your bones.
Honor the Lord with your wealth with the firstfruits of all your crops; then your barns will be filled to overflowing, and your vats will brim over with new wine. Do not despise the Lord's discipline, and do not resent His rebuke, because the Lord disciplines those He loves, as a father the son He delights in. Blessed are those who find wisdom, those who gain understandingfor she is more profitable than silver and yields better returns than gold. She is more precious than rubies; nothing you desire can compare with her. Long life is in her right hand; in her left hand are riches and honor. Her ways are pleasant ways,  and all her paths are peace. She is a tree of life to those who take hold of her; those who hold her fast will be blessed. By wisdom the Lord laid the earth’s foundations, by understanding He set the heavens in place; by His knowledge the watery depths were divided, and the clouds let drop the dew. Do not let wisdom and understanding out of your sight, preserve sound judgment and discretion; they will be life for youan ornament to grace your neck. Then you will go on your way in safety, and your foot will not stumble. When you lie down, you will not be afraid; when you lie down, your sleep will be sweet. Have no fear of sudden disaster or of the ruin that overtakes the wicked, for the Lord will be at your side and will keep your foot from being snared."

I am so very thankful to God for allowing me to meet so many sweet planner gals and friends that I can spend time with and laugh with. We share a great bond over being creative, planners and beautiful planner goodies. I appreciate the blessings that I have found in them. I hold all of them in my prayers each day.

Faith. Hope. Trust. Encourage. Believe...
You are worthy. He will make you worthy.
Move forward in HIM

My Homeschooling Ideas.

Hello everyone! I have had a few girls ask me to post some of my homeschooling ideas. Gladly! Homeschooling is such a big part of me and I want to teach my son as much as I can in the best ways that I can. I think most parents have that goal in mind for their child. I will post some of my homeschooling ideas more often. I have a lot of them.

I also enjoy seeing the ideas that others offer on their blogs and Periscope regarding homeschooling as well. As mother's, it's great for us to inspire one another.

One of the ideas that I taught my 4 year old son was how to tell time. I showed him the difference between digital and with actual numbers on clocks with numbers, hands and lines. He learned it so fast. I am so proud of him.

The first thing I did was have him learn and memorize how to count by 5's and then 10's, all the way up to 100. As you will see below, I wrote down an example of how to count by 5's and 10's on paper for him and let him memorize it.  He memorized it right away all the way up to 100.

This was so easy for him to understand and it stuck with him. I made it very simple. A marker and paper is all you need. I also put it in a place where he would see it all day and I made sure he looked at it during the day as well. I also counted it out for him in a beat by clapping my hands in a rhythm. For some reason, I think learning things with a beat or in the form of a song helps everyone memorize so much easier. Make it fun. Whatever works, right!?

Below are photos of the clocks that I used to teach him as well. Once he learned how to count by 5's, I let him see and I explained the different types of clocks and watches to him.

The first colorful kids clock below is so cute and fun. It talks and you can either do a free play type of learning where the clock will tell you what time you moved the hands to on your own or you can move the switch and the clock will quiz you. When you do the quiz, the clocks voice will say a time and you have to set the hands of the clock to the time she asks.  The white plastic on the top of the clocks head is actually a light. You push it once and it turns on and then, if you push it again, it will shut the light off. The tiny little numbers next to the big numbers count by 5's. As you can see in the photos below, there is also a digital reading for the time as well. The clock is about 8 x 10 in size.

The next photo below is a huge clock that we actually have hanging in our living room. My son knows how to read the time on this clock as well.  I explained how to count by 5's per each number.

Next, for motor skills and for something fun for us to create and share together, I bought beads and ties at the dollar store. We both sat down and made bead bracelets together. He is a pro! I just allowed him to be creative and have fun as you will see in the photos below. I also made myself a pretty pink mommy bracelet. Both of us kept them and I will always keep them. It's a mommy thing! :)

So, there you go! I hope you enjoy these ideas and that they may be helpful to you.

Thanks for stopping by.

Love, Cindy  :)

Hello Fall!

Hello Fall!... and hello to you, too!  I have been taking a break from blogging and Instagram for the past few months. It felt so nice and so very refreshing. I really needed the break. I adore and miss blogging a lot. I am going to continue to blog a little more, but I am not sure how much. I guess time will tell. I am so busy these days, a good busy, and I have been working on other goals for myself as well. I have also been concentrating on being the best wife and mommy that I can be, I am homeschooling my son, and I have really been trying to focus on Jesus, His word and His direction every day. My husband, son and I are all doing great. I am so very thankful for all of my blessings. I make sure to count them and thank Jesus for them all of the time.

When I first started my blog a year ago, I had it set in my heart and mind to do a blog for and about Jesus and His word. Little by little, I lost track of that and my blog became more about me. I mean, I still want to share my life too, and share the things that I am interested in, but in a different way this time. I want to stick to encouraging others about Christ as much as I can. Even if I am able to encourage just one person on this earth for God and His word, I know that I can look my Jesus into His eyes when we stand face to face and know that I did what He has asked me to do. There are so many things that I really want to do for Him.

He created me for HIS purpose and not my own. I lost track of that and eventually, my blog and Instagram felt wrong. It felt completely off and I was not at peace with it anymore, nor with myself for that matter.  It was all so new to me. So, with the strong tugging in my heart from God, I stepped back, and I asked Him every single day for His guidance, direction, wisdom and discernment. I still do and I still take the time to listen to and for Him. We need to listen for His gentle whisper.

It is amazing how we can allow a little light to shine onto us and think it's all about us.  I forgot how I needed to allow HIS light to shine THROUGH me and encourage others WITH Him, not by myself.

Psalm 23:1-3 ~ "The Lord is my Shepard, I lack nothing. He makes me lie down in green pastures, He leads me beside quiet waters, He refreshes my soul. He guides me along the right paths for HIS name's sake."

Romans 8:28 ~ "And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love Him, who have been called according to HIS purpose."

2 Timothy 1:9 ~ "He has saved us and called us to a holy life, NOT because of anything we have done, but because of HIS own purpose and grace. This grace was given us in Christ Jesus before the beginning of time."

It's all about Him and I am proud to give all of the credit to my God. I am so aware of how much I need Him. I know when to STOP and take the time to be refreshed in Him and His word.

So, with that said, blogging is still very dear to my heart. I have made some really cool friends through blogging and some that I have grown close to. That is a blessing that I thank God for. Also, I removed all of my previous posts for a few reasons. I wanted to start fresh and have my blog reflect more on Jesus and the Bible.

Like everyone else, I am excited that Fall and Autumn are here again and it is such a beautiful time of year. There is so much fun stuff to look forward to with decorating, Halloween, Thanksgiving and Christmas. I love it all. And like I always used to mention in all of my previous posts when I used to blog, always make sure to take the time to look for and count your blessings from God every single day. Focus on Him, His word and the blessings that He has placed right in front of you. They are there. So is He. He gives us so much to be thankful for.

Love, Cindy

There is a right time and season for everything.  I have been taking a break from my blog to focus on quality time with family and also, working on other goals right now. When the time is right, I will blog again. Until then . . .
